Sri Sakthi Leathers

Sri Sakthi Leathers is located at Mahalakshmi Leathers, which is New No. 2, Old No. 75 on Thiruneermalai Main Road in Nagalkeni, Chrompet. This area is known for leather, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops around here. It is a busy street, always full of lorries and bikes weaving through. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it is packed with materials and the smell of leather is everywhere. We spend our days sorting through skins and making sure everything is ready for the next step. It is a lot of physical labor. My back hurts sometimes after a long shift, but that is just part of the job. We don’t have a website or any of those modern things. People just know where we are. If you’re looking for us, look for the old number 75 or the new number 2, it can be confusing for people who aren’t from around Chrompet. We’ve been in this building for a long time. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy working to worry about that. We just focus on the leather. It’s what we understand best. We take our breaks together and talk about local news. It’s a simple routine, day after day. We just keep going.
