Naagu Leathers

Naagu Leathers is based over in K. K. Nagar, specifically at B-108 on Lakshmanasamy Salai. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded with traffic, but our little corner stays relatively organized. We work with leather all day. It’s got that specific smell that sticks to your clothes, which some people don’t like, but we don’t mind it anymore. We started this because we needed a way to make a living and we knew a bit about the trade. Over time, we just kept going. The shop isn't fancy. We have our tools and our benches where we sit and get through the orders. Sometimes we have a lot to do and other times it’s a bit slower, so we just tidy up the place. We don't really have a big corporate structure. If something needs doing, whoever is free just grabs it and gets it done. It's a small team, so we all know each other's business pretty well. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first moved into this spot on Lakshmanasamy Salai. New shops come and go, but we are still here doing the same thing we’ve always done. It’s just a regular business run by regular people who know their way around a piece of leather. We don't put on any airs about it. It is just our daily job and we try to do it right.
