N K Enterprises

We are at 111, Royapettah Road in Pudupakkam. It's a busy part of the city and there is always noise from the street outside. N K Enterprises has been here for a long time now. Most days I get in early to open up the shutters before the traffic gets too bad. We deal with whatever people need and try to keep things organized on the shelves, though it gets messy when we are busy. My desk is in the corner and it’s usually covered in receipts and half-empty tea cups. The building itself is old, but it stays cool enough in the summer. People walk in off the road asking for all sorts of things. Sometimes we have it and sometimes we have to order it in. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. My neighbor runs a small tea stall nearby and the smell of ginger tea comes in through the door every afternoon. Most of our regulars are folks who live right here in Pudupakkam. They know where we are because of the sign that’s slightly tilted. We don’t mind the tilt much. It’s been like that since the last big storm and nobody has bothered to fix it yet. We just keep doing what we do every day. It’s not a big operation, just a few of us making sure everything moves along.
