Muneer Leathers

Muneer Leathers is tucked away at 7/2 Arunachalam Street, just off Rajamuthaiah Road in Periamet. It is a busy little corner of the world. We have these big rolls of leather sitting everywhere, and the floor is usually covered in small scraps that we have to sweep up at the end of every day. The street outside is always full of activity, with people moving goods and scooters zig-zagging around. Our space isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack things so we can still walk through the middle. We spend hours sorting through the pieces, checking the colors and the feel of the grain under the light near the window. It is tiring work on the back, but we have been doing it so long it just feels normal now. We don't have any fancy signs or big displays. Most people find us because they know the address or they saw someone else coming here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the orders to worry about that. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit outside on the steps and talk to the guys from the shop next door. It is a straightforward business, dealing with leather and people, and we try to keep things honest and simple without making a big deal out of anything.
