Adk Impex

We’re up on the first floor of Mrudula Towers, which is located on Thambu Chetty Street. It’s a bit of an old building, but it’s got character. Our address is a little confusing because it has both an Old No. 129 and a New No. 271, but we usually just tell people to look for the towers. Adk Impex is the name we go by. We handle a lot of the logistical side of importing and exporting. The office isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around. We have some mismatched chairs and a table that’s seen better days. Thambu Chetty Street is a very active part of town, so there’s never a dull moment. You can hear the traffic and the people from the windows, even when they’re closed. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a fancy front office. Most of our work happens over the phone or through quick messages. We just try to stay on top of the shipping schedules and the customs forms, which can be a real pain. Sometimes we work late into the evening if a big shipment is coming in. We don't really have a set routine. We just do what needs to be done. It’s a small, local operation, and we like it that way because we can make our own decisions without asking anyone else. It’s just us doing our best with what we have in this busy part of the city.
