Monica Leathers

Monica Leathers is located in the New Singapore Shopping Complex at 144 Govindappa Naicken Street. We are right in the Parrys area, which is probably one of the busiest places you could be. The complex is always full of people and it can get quite hectic. Our shop is packed with leather goods and samples. There is not much room to move around when we have a lot of stock in. Parrys is famous for its markets, so we get all sorts of people walking by. We do not really do any formal marketing. We just put some items out where people can see them. The lights in the complex are a bit dim, but we have got our own lamps to see the grain on the leather. It is a lot of talking to customers and haggling sometimes. That is just the way it goes on Govindappa Naicken Street. We have been here since the complex was newer. It is a bit worn down now, but it is home for the business. We keep our records in big ledgers and do not use the computer for much besides the basics. It is a traditional way of doing things. When it rains, the street outside gets messy, but the shop stays dry. We just sit among the bags and belts and wait for the next person to come in. It keeps us busy enough.
