Mohamed Sathak College

Located on Medavakkam Road in Sholinganallur, Mohamed Sathak College is right in the middle of a very busy part of Chennai. You can hear the hum of the traffic all day long from the main gates. We’ve got a fairly large campus here, and it takes a bit of time to walk from one end to the other. The humidity in Tamil Nadu is something we just live with, so the hallways are usually quite warm. Students are everywhere, especially around the snack stalls and the main entrance. It’s a very active place. The building has seen many years of use, and you can see it in the worn-out stone steps. We don't spend much on fancy decorations. Most of the budget goes into keeping the labs running and making sure there are enough chairs for everyone. The office is usually a bit messy with files and ledgers stacked up on the desks. We have a lot of different people coming through here, from all over the city. It’s a bit of a mix. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we all just wait for it to come back. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a lot of people trying to get their degrees. It’s a practical place for practical people. The evening sea breeze helps a bit when the sun goes down and the crowds start to thin out after the final classes.
