M. A. Varghees & Son

M. A. Varghees & Son is a family-run thing. We’ve been at No. 56- B on V.G.P. Nagar Main Road for a long time. It’s right behind the SBI on Rampur Road, which makes it easy for people to find us if they know the landmark. My father started this and now I handle most of the daily tasks. It’s a small building, a bit old now, but it serves us well. We do a lot of different things here, mostly whatever the customers need that day. The road outside can get really dusty in the summer. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place clean. There’s no big corporate structure here. It’s just us. Sometimes my son comes in to help after school. We keep some chairs out front for people to sit if they are waiting for their turn. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a small community. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our sign on the main road. We focus on getting the orders right. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we always try to fix them quickly. It’s honest work. We’ve seen the area change a lot over the decades, but we’re still here in the same spot. If you’re passing the bank, just look for the gate behind it.
