Milletcraft Private Limited

Our place is at 126 Kambar Street. It's located in Annai Indira Nagarvelachery. Milletcraft Private Limited is what we call the business. We work with all kinds of millets and grains here. The whole building smells like dried seeds and earth. It is a very natural smell. We have big sacks of grain stacked up in the corners. We use a small machine to clean the dust and stones out of the millet. It's a dusty job, so we wear cloths over our faces. Velachery is a busy place, but our street is tucked away from the main traffic. During the rainy season, we have to be very careful because the roads here flood quite easily. We have some wooden pallets to keep the bags off the ground. It is just a few of us working here. We don't have any fancy titles. We just do whatever needs doing, whether it's weighing the bags or sewing them shut. Most people in the neighborhood know us. We don't have a website or any promotional stuff. If you want to find us, you just come to Kambar Street. We sit on the front step sometimes when work is slow. It's a simple way to spend the day. We just focus on the grain and the people who buy it. It’s a quiet life in Annai Indira Nagarvelachery. We like it that way.
