Metro Leathers

Metro Leathers is tucked away in Periamet, specifically at 7/1 Arunachalam Lane. If you have ever tried to find us, you know that the lane is quite narrow and always full of activity. We are up on the first floor of an old building that has seen a lot of years. Periamet is a famous spot for the leather trade, and we have been a part of it for a long time. The office is small and usually smells strongly of processed leather, which is something we have just grown used to over the years. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. You just walk up the stairs and you are right in the middle of where we work. There are stacks of leather skins everywhere, and we spend our time sorting through them by hand. It’s a very tactile job. The noise from the street below filters up through the windows—shouting, horns, and the sound of carts being pushed along. We know most of our neighbors, as many of them are in the same line of work. It is a busy, crowded, and somewhat messy way to work, but it feels right for what we do. We don't bother with any marketing talk. We just show up every day and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order but that is just part of it.
