Megha Impex

Megha Impex is located over at No. 22 on 3rd Street East in Abhiramapuram. If you know the Mylapore area, you know it has a certain feel to it. Our office is tucked away in a spot that’s mostly quiet but still close to everything we need. We handle a lot of import and export tasks throughout the week. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at shipping schedules. We started this because we knew a few people who needed help getting products across borders and it just grew from there. The building isn't new, but it works for what we do. We usually have papers piled up and the printer is always running. Some days are slower than others, but mostly there is always a list of things to follow up on. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It's just a few of us making sure the orders are processed. Mylapore is a great place to work because of the culture and the food stalls just around the corner. We spend a lot of time talking to customs agents and transport guys. It can be stressful when a boat is delayed, but that is just how this business goes. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand. No one here wears a suit unless they really have to. We just prefer getting the work finished so we can go home.
