We are located in the Tiny Sector of the Sidco Estate in Ambattur. Specifically, we are at No 4 A on the 1st Main Road. Being in an industrial estate like this means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. There is always a low hum of machinery in the air here. At Maruthi Engineering Industries, we have our own set of machines that we keep running throughout the day. The "Tiny Sector" name is pretty accurate because the units aren't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. Every corner is filled with something useful, whether it is a tool or a raw material. We spend most of our time in our work clothes, which usually end up with a few oil spots by the afternoon. It’s a busy place, especially when we have several orders that need to be out the door at the same time. The commute into Ambattur can be long, but once we are here, we just get to work. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just cut, shape, and join metal. Sometimes we have to stay late when a machine breaks down or a delivery is delayed, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We keep our heads down and keep the machines moving as much as we can. It is a regular life in a busy industrial place.
