We have been working out of this spot at No.29A on Perianna Maistry Street for a while now. It’s right here in the Periame area of Chennai. If you know this part of the city, you know it's always busy with people moving around. Our focus here at Makmis Leather Technology is really just about the daily grind of processing and working with leather materials. We aren't doing anything fancy with big billboards or anything. Most of the time, the rooms are filled with the smell of hides and the sound of the machines running. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, but we just keep at it. Our team is mostly local folks who have been around the trade for years. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of what comes in and what goes out. The street outside is usually crowded, so getting shipments moved can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We don't really have a big corporate lobby or a front desk person. Usually, if you walk in, you just see someone working at a bench or looking over some technical specs for the leather treatments. It’s a practical place. We focus on the tech side of things, making sure the leather is handled right before it moves on to the next stage.
