Mahe Textile Private Limited

Mahe Textile Private Limited is over on Radhakrishnan Street in Teachers Colony. We have that confusing situation where we have a New No. 18 and an Old No. 11/1, so we often have to tell people both just so they don’t get lost looking for us. The colony is usually a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs, which is nice for focusing on our textile work. Our building is filled with the sight of fabric bolts and the sound of shears cutting through cloth. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just basic textile handling and making sure the rolls are packed correctly for wherever they are headed next. The workspace is a bit tight, especially when we have several different types of material coming in at once. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep things from being too silent while we work. The windows stay open most of the time to let a bit of a breeze in, though it doesn't help much when the humidity is high. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between the cutting tables and the storage racks. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows where everything is, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to an outsider. We just keep our heads down and handle the cloth, day in and day out, making sure the tallies match the inventory.
