Madras Veterinary College

We've been over here at the Dept. Of Lpm in Chennai for a good while now. Being part of Madras Veterinary College means there is always something going on. Most days start pretty early because the animals don't wait for anyone to get their coffee first. It’s a busy place with students coming in and out all day, learning how to handle livestock and managing everything that comes with that life. You might see us out in the pens or checking on the feed levels. It is quite hot here in Tamil Nadu most of the year, but we just get on with the chores. The gates stay open for people needing some help with their animals or those kids just trying to finish their degrees. We don't have fancy offices or anything polished like that. It is mostly practical work around here. Mud on the boots is a pretty common sight in the hallways. We focus on the health of the creatures and making sure the students actually know what they are doing before they go out into the real world. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the old wooden desks, but most of us would much rather be outside in the fresh air. If you walk past our department, you'll definitely hear the noise of the farm and see folks busy with their daily tasks. It is just how life goes here. We have been in this spot for many years and the building has some age to it, but it serves the purpose well enough.
