You can find us at the Auras Complex on Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai in Mylapore. We are up on the 4th floor. It’s a Corporate Centre, but inside our office, it feels like any other place where people are working hard. Madras Cements Limited has a lot of history in this city. We handle the administrative side of things here. There are plenty of desks and computers, and the sound of typing is always in the air. Mylapore is a busy part of Chennai, so getting to work can be a bit of a journey every morning. We deal with a lot of different departments. It’s mostly about making sure the cement gets produced and sent out to the right locations. We have meetings, but they are usually just about logistics and numbers. Sometimes we look out the window at the traffic on 98-A and wonder how it gets so crowded. We have a small canteen where we get our coffee. It’s a standard office routine. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just keeping the business running smoothly. The paperwork is endless, but someone has to do it. We answer the phone and try to give people the info they need when they call. It’s a professional place but we don’t stand on ceremony too much. We just want to get the day's tasks finished and ensure the supply chain stays moving. Even with the air conditioning, we can feel the humidity from outside.
