Leathern

You can find our shop, Leathern, over at No 769 inside Spencer Plaza on Anna Salai. We are specifically in Phase 2, on the second floor, at shop number S-44-B. This mall has been around for a long time, and we have seen it change a lot over the years. Our spot is a bit deep inside the building, so you have to walk past a lot of other stores to get to us. We deal with all sorts of leather goods like bags and belts and other smaller items people use daily. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. It’s just how it is when you’re in an older plaza like this. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to Spencer Plaza for years. They know we are here. We don’t really spend money on ads or anything fancy. We just open up the shutters in the morning and wait for people to stop by. Sometimes the lighting in this part of the mall is a bit dim, but we have our own lamps inside to see the stitching clearly. It’s a straightforward business. We like the Mount Road area because it’s right in the middle of everything. It gets noisy outside with the traffic on Anna Salai, but inside the shop, it’s usually pretty quiet. We just keep busy with the stock and talking to whoever walks in.
