We are set up in Chennai at the Pillar Apartments, which is on 10th Avenue in Ashok Nagar. The exact spot is B1, No 24. Larsen Toubro Ltd E Engineering Solutions has been operating out of this apartment building for a while now. It is a bit different from a standard office building since it’s in a residential area. You see people going about their daily lives, hanging laundry or heading to the market, while we are inside working on engineering stuff. Ashok Nagar is a pretty busy part of Chennai, so there is always something happening outside on 10th Avenue. The humidity here can be really tough, especially in the middle of the day. We have the AC running, but sometimes it struggles to keep up. Our space at Pillar Apartments is filled with computers and drawings. We don't really have a big reception desk or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and see us all working. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't waste time on being formal. We just call each other by our names and get the work done. Being in B1 means we are easy to find once you get inside the gate. It’s a decent place to work and the neighbors don't seem to mind us being there. We are just a group of engineers and staff members trying to stay busy and meet our deadlines without any extra corporate nonsense.
