L. G. Fashions

You can find L. G. Fashions at No. 71/3 on the Kundrathur Main Road, right in the Madhanandapuram part of Porur. If you’ve ever been on this road, you know how the traffic can be, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. Our shop is just a small unit in a row of other businesses. We’ve been here for a good few years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The building we are in is a bit older, so the floors are a little uneven, but it has character, I suppose. We mostly deal with everyday clothing. It’s just a few of us working here, usually trying to keep the dust off the shelves because of all the vehicles passing by outside. We don’t have any fancy displays or professional decorators. We just put the clothes where they fit. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit out front on the steps and chat with the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. If people want something, they just stop their bikes and walk in. We try to keep things simple and honest. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a small shop trying to get by and provide for our families. That’s really all there is to it, and we are fine with that.
