Our business is E Elangovan Import & Export. We are located right in the middle of the Anna Fruit Market in Koyambedu. Specifically, we are at No. TA 118. If you have ever been to Koyambedu, you know how hectic it gets. It is a massive market and there is always something going on. Trucks are coming in and going out at all hours of the night and day. It is noisy, dusty, and very crowded, but it is exactly where we need to be. We handle both importing and exporting. Because of the market hours, we usually start our day very early, sometimes while it is still dark outside. The office is just a small space where we can keep our records and take a seat for a minute. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of fans that we keep running all the time. It is hard work and the environment is quite tough, but we have been doing it for a long time. Elangovan is the one who started it all. We don’t have any polished sales pitches or a big corporate image. We are just market people. We know the traders, we know the drivers, and we know how to get things moved. It’s a very practical business. You have to be quick and you have to know your stuff to survive in Koyambedu. We just do our work and stay busy.
