S M V Impex & Co. is located at 8b Gandhi Nagar 4th Street, specifically in the 3rd Cross Lane of Kodungaiyur. It is a bit of a maze to get here if you aren't familiar with the area, but we like our quiet corner. The office is small but we keep it organized. We deal with various import and export goods, so there is always something interesting passing through our hands. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise, although the occasional truck delivery is unavoidable. We start our day by going through the ledger and checking on the previous day’s shipments. Our team is small, mostly just a few family members and a couple of helpers. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy here. Everyone pitches in with everything, whether it is typing out an email or helping to move a heavy box. The 3rd Cross Lane has its own rhythm, and we have become a part of it over the years. We often have people from the nearby streets dropping by just to say hello or ask for a bit of help with something. It is that kind of place. The office gets a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, so we are always cleaning our desks. We don't mind the extra effort. It is just part of being here in Kodungaiyur and doing what we do.
