Shree Valli Leather

Shree Valli Leather is our small business and we are over at No 2 Chelliamman Koil Street in Keelkattalai. It’s a fairly quiet street most days. We work with leather and that means there is always a certain smell in the air here. Some people like it and some don't, but it’s just part of our life. The workshop is right here. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. Just a local spot where we get things done. Keelkattalai is a nice area to be in. We have lived and worked around here for a long time. Our space is filled with tools and scraps of leather. It’s not a place for a fancy suit. We wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty. Sometimes a neighbor stops by to chat for a minute. We don't have a website with a bunch of promises. We just make what we make and people seem to find us. It’s about doing the work and not overthinking it. The building has been here for years and it shows its age a bit but we don't mind. We are just trying to keep the tradition of leather work going in our own small way. It’s a steady life and we are okay with that. Most of the time we just focus on the piece in front of us and try to do right by it every single day.
