Our place is tucked away on Five Furlong Road in Maduvinkarai. Guindy is always busy, so there’s always something going on outside our door. Kbs Engineers isn't a massive factory or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we handle engineering tasks. We moved into number 19 because the location worked for us. We deal with various bits of machinery and parts throughout the day. Some days are slower than others, but usually, there's a pile of things waiting for us. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is free. It’s loud because of the tools, so you might have to raise your voice. We like being in this part of Chennai. There’s a lot of industrial history around here. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we’ve stayed put. Our setup is simple. We have the benches, the tools, and the stuff we’re working on. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific part for a few hours. That’s just part of the routine. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Word of mouth is usually how people find their way to our street. We just stick to the drawings and the metal. It’s a straightforward life here in Maduvinkarai. We do the work, lock up, and head home at the end of the day. It’s nothing special, but it’s what we do for a living.
