Kashwini Traders

Kashwini Traders is tucked away on Ayyasamy Street in Tambaram West. It is a bit of a tight squeeze on this street, especially when a delivery van tries to park out front and blocks the whole way for a few minutes. We operate out of a small space at number 29, and it is usually packed floor to ceiling with stock. I have a small stool I sit on near the entrance where I can keep an eye on the street and the inventory at the same time. The walls are painted a pale blue that has faded over the years, and there are posters for local events stuck near the door. We deal with a lot of different suppliers, so there is always someone coming in or out with a clipboard or a heavy bag. It is mostly a lot of heavy lifting and moving things from the back to the front. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we see the same faces walking their dogs or heading to work every single morning. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the door so people know they are in the right place. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have a sturdy ceiling fan that does the job. Most of the day is spent checking off lists and making sure we didn't miss any orders that came in the day before.
