Sristi Garments

Sristi Garments is located right at No. 42 Kavarai Street in the Kaladipet area. It’s a lively part of town, and our shop fits right in with the rest of the local businesses. We mostly deal with ready-made clothes and basic garment work. The front of the shop is usually where we keep the finished pieces, and the back is where all the actual work happens. It’s a bit messy with thread ends and bits of paper patterns lying around on the floor, but that is just how a working shop looks. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff; people just walk in off the street or know us because they live a few blocks away. My brother and I run the place, and we have a couple of helpers who come in during the busy seasons when everyone wants new clothes for the festivals. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and trying to find good fabric that won't cost too much for our customers. It’s a simple life, and we are happy just being a part of the Kavarai Street community, serving the folks who live nearby. We just try to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied with what they buy.
