Jothi Gears

Our place is tucked away at Old 39, Plot No.48 on Lodd Govindass Nagar Road. If you know the Border Thottam area near Mount Road, you probably know how crowded it gets around here. Jothi Gears isn't a big factory or anything like that. It’s a workshop where we handle gear work day in and day out. There is always oil on the floor and the sound of cutting machines in the air. It’s been this way since we started. We don't have a big sign or a front desk with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us covered in grease near the back. The building is old, and the walls have seen a lot of metal shavings over the years. We keep the machines running mostly all day. It’s hard work, and your hands never really stay clean for long. We’ve got a small tea stall just down the road where we go for breaks. Mount Road is always humming with traffic, so it’s never quiet here. We just focus on the gears and getting the orders out of the door. Sometimes the lights flicker when we start the heavy gear cutters, but we've gotten used to it. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done at this address. We see the same faces every day, people walking to the bigger shops on Mount Road, but we stay tucked back here in our own little world. There's no use complaining about the heat or the cramped space, because this is where the work happens.
