Our place, Jk Cement Ltd., is situated at The Regency, No. 5, Mg Road, 1St Lane, Nungambakkam, Egmore. It is a pretty central location, which makes it easy for folks to find us, though the traffic on Mg Road can be a real headache some mornings. We have an office tucked away here in the first lane. It is not the biggest space, but it fits us just fine. Most of the team stays busy with the phones and handling all the requests that come through from around the city. Nungambakkam is a lively area, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We usually grab lunch at the local spots nearby. It is a straightforward operation we run here. We are not interested in all that corporate talk you hear in the big towers; we just want to make sure the orders are correct and the customers get what they need without any fuss. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up, but we just open a window and keep going. Working in Egmore has its ups and downs, but we have grown fond of this little corner of the city over the years. We have seen businesses come and go on this street, yet we are still here doing our thing every day. It is just us, a few desks, and a lot of work to get through before we head home for the evening.
