Jayam Brothers

Jayam Brothers is situated at 86 Middle Street in Vallam. We have been operating from this address for quite a long time. It is a family-run business and we don't have any other branches. The shop itself is an old building that we've tried to keep up over the years. We sell various items that people in the village need, mostly day-to-day things. Middle Street can be a bit narrow, so it gets busy with people and bikes during the market hours. We don't have a lot of fancy displays or bright lights. Everything is stacked on shelves where we can reach it easily. Most of our customers are people we have known for many years. We talk to them about their families and what's going on in Vallam while we handle their orders. It’s a very slow-paced way of doing things compared to the big stores in the cities, but it works for us. We don't use much technology here, just a basic ledger and a calculator for the most part. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the delivery truck is late, but our regulars understand how it goes. We just try to be helpful to everyone who comes in. If you are looking for us, look for the blue door on Middle Street. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down. It's just a simple, local business run by brothers.
