Jaya Engineering Company

Jaya Engineering Company is located at 231/3 in Kamakshipalya. We are pretty close to the Old Check Post on Magadi Road. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know it’s a hub for workshops and small factories. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have a few lathes and some old drilling machines that have been with us since we started. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon, but we sweep up every evening before we head home. It’s a loud place when everything is running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We don’t do much advertising; most people just hear about us from other shops nearby. We handle a lot of small repair jobs and custom parts that people bring in. Sometimes someone comes in with a broken piece of machinery and asks if we can fix it, and we usually find a way. It’s honest work. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend our breaks. Magadi Road is always busy, so there is never a dull moment. We have a small desk in the corner for the bills, but most of the work happens on the floor. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our little corner of Kamakshipalya stays pretty much the same. We just keep the machines oiled and the doors open. Sometimes the power goes out.
