Jain Traders

Our shop, Jain Traders, is at No 1 on Millers Lane in Kilpauk. We are very close to the old Motcham Cinema Hall, which everyone in the area knows. Millers Lane can be a bit quiet compared to the main roads, but it gets busy during certain times of the day. We handle various trading goods, and the shop is usually filled with boxes and crates. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, keeping track of everything in our registers. We’ve been in this Kilpauk location for a long time now. The building is older, so it has a bit of character, though it can get a bit hot in the summer months. We spend a lot of time checking our stock and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the delivery guys have trouble finding the entrance because the lane is a bit tucked away. We usually have to go out and wave them down. People who live around here know us well. We don't do much in the way of fancy talk or marketing. We just show up, open the doors, and do our business. It’s a lot of work to keep everything organized, especially when we get a large shipment in. But we like the routine of it. The cinema hall crowd sometimes wanders by after a show, adding some life to the street in the evenings. It is just a regular place doing regular business.
