J. V. K. Apparels

We are located at No. 567 T. H. Road in Old Washermenpet. This part of Chennai is famous for clothes and textiles, so we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. The road is always packed with buses and bikes, so it’s never quiet around here. Our shop is just one of many, but we’ve been at this address for quite some time. We do all sorts of apparel work. It’s mostly cotton stuff because of the heat. Inside, we have rows of machines and shelves where we keep the finished goods. The walls are a bit peeling and the floor is worn down from people walking back and forth all day. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few local people who know how to sew and cut fabric. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By the afternoon, we are usually just trying to stay cool while we finish the packing. There’s no fancy air conditioning here, just a couple of big ceiling fans that have been wobbling for years. We don’t go in for big promises or slogans. We just take the fabric, do the work, and get it ready for whoever bought it. Most of our customers are people who have been dealing with us for a long time. It is a simple operation and we like it that way.
