J. L. Enginnering

J. L. Enginnering is located at 152/245 on Linghi Chetty Street in Parrys. If you know Parrys, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our place is right in the middle of that noise. We deal with all sorts of engineering work. Most days my hands are a bit dirty from the machines or the metal we’re working with. The street is narrow and there are always carts and people moving stuff around. It’s been our home for a long time. We don't have a shiny office. It’s a workshop through and through. You’ll hear the sound of tools and maybe a radio playing in the background if we have it on. We don't spend money on fancy brochures. We just do the work that comes in. Sometimes it’s a small part that needs fixing, other times it’s something bigger that takes a few days. Linghi Chetty Street has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of it. We drink tea from the stall at the corner every morning. It’s hot, it’s dusty, and it’s loud, but it’s where we work. We don't try to impress anyone with big talk about engineering. We just use the tools and get the pieces to fit together. That’s how it goes here in Parrys every single day. We've been at this since I was a much younger man.
