Our office is up on the third floor of the Ambal Building right on Anna Salai. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming up. We deal mostly with potash and fertilizers, which isn't the most glamorous thing to talk about, but it’s important for the farmers. Most of our day is spent on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It's a lot of coordination to make sure things get where they need to go across the country. Being on the 727 block means we have plenty of places to grab lunch nearby, which is a plus. The elevator in this building is a bit slow sometimes, so we usually just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. The walls are covered in maps and charts because that’s how we keep track of everything. It gets a bit hectic during the planting seasons. Everyone is calling at once and the desks get buried in paperwork. We aren't trying to do anything fancy here. We just make sure the supply chain keeps moving. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to suppliers and distributors. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment is delayed. That’s just how it goes in this industry. It’s steady work and we have a good group of people here who know the business inside out. We just stick to what we know and keep things moving.
