Out here in Old Perungalathur, things move at a slightly different pace than the main city. Our place is at Plot No-17A on the 1st Main Road in Sri Sakthi Nagar. We handle agrotech stuff, which basically means we spend our days looking at equipment and parts that farmers or local guys need. It’s a big space but it fills up fast when a new shipment arrives. I remember when we first moved into this spot, the road wasn't even paved properly. Now there are houses and other small units all around us. The heat in the afternoon can be something else, so we usually try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning. My brother and I manage the day-to-day. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of grease and metal. Sometimes a customer comes in not really knowing what part they need, so we spend time looking through the manuals or just figuring it out together. It’s satisfying when they get their machines running again. We keep it simple. No one here wears a suit. We’re usually covered in a bit of dirt by the end of the day. It’s just regular work for us, making sure the local agricultural community has what they need to keep going. We don't mind the noise or the long hours much.
