Ag Ventures

Our place, Ag Ventures, is at No:13 on Lingappa Chetty Street, right in the heart of the Flower Market area. If you’ve ever been here, you know it’s one of the busiest spots you can find. The air always smells like jasmine and roses, which is a nice perk of the location. The street is narrow and usually crowded with trucks and people carrying big bundles of flowers. Our office is a bit old, with high ceilings and thick walls. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like being where the action is. We started out with just a small idea and it grew into what it is today. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and checking on deliveries. It’s a lot of manual work and staying on top of things. The electricity goes out sometimes, but we just keep going. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, do the work, and head home. It’s a bit messy at times, especially when new stock arrives, but that’s just life in the market. We often grab a cup of tea from the vendor across the street when the morning rush dies down. It’s a hectic life, but we wouldn’t have it any other way because it keeps us on our toes all day long through the heat and the rain.
