Icat College

Icat College has its spot at No. 153 Santhome High Road. It's right there in Mylapore, which everyone in Chennai knows is a busy area. Most days, you can hear the traffic outside while the students are inside working on their projects. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we do here. People walk in and out all day long. Sometimes the humid Chennai weather makes everyone move a bit slower, but the work gets done. There are a lot of chairs and desks and computers set up for the different classes. We don't really have a fancy reception area or anything like that. It's just a place where people come to learn things. You might see staff members grabbing a quick tea nearby or students standing near the gate talking. The address is 600004 if you're looking for it on a map. We’ve seen many groups of students pass through these halls over the years. Some days it’s quiet, like during the exam weeks, and other days it’s quite loud with people moving equipment around. It’s just a regular college building where things happen every day. No one here is trying to be too formal. We just open the doors in the morning and stay until the evening. The local tea stall guy knows most of the faces here by now. It’s part of the neighborhood, and that’s how it feels to us most of the time.
