Craftline

Craftline is over on Bawa Road in Alwarpet, right at number 24. We’ve been here in this part of Chennai for quite some time. It’s a nice enough area and people know us by now. We do a lot of different things with crafts and making stuff. The shop isn't huge but it's full of whatever we are working on at the moment. You walk in and you’ll see supplies and finished pieces all over the place. Sometimes it feels a bit cluttered, but that is just how we work. My assistant and I spend most of the day answering the phone or showing people what we have available. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us. We like the neighborhood. Alwarpet has a lot of history and we feel like we fit in okay. People stop by on their way home or during their lunch breaks. We mostly just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the quality is decent. We don’t make big promises, we just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes we stay late when there is a big project. It can be tiring, but it’s what we do. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, but number 24 stays pretty much the same. It’s a bit old-fashioned here, but we like it that way.
