Ode Gallery

Ode Gallery is located at No 3/405 on Sundeep Road. It’s down in Neelangarai, which is a nice enough spot to be in. The road is usually okay, not too much noise most of the time. We spend our days inside the gallery making sure things are where they should be. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s not too bad if the weather is okay. We have different sections in the space for whatever we happen to be showing or storing at the moment. Some days we have people coming in just to look around, and other days it's just us cleaning the glass or moving items about. The lighting in the back room is a bit dim, we keep meaning to fix that. We keep a logbook by the door for visitors, though half the time we forget to ask people to sign it. Being in Neelangarai is good because it’s a bit quieter than being right in the center of the city. We have a small back area where we keep the packing materials and a kettle for coffee. It’s not a very big operation, just a few of us making sure everything runs smooth. We like the neighborhood. People around here are friendly enough. It’s just a simple place on Sundeep Road. We try to keep things tidy, but there is always a little bit of dust on the frames.
