Our shop is on Landons Road in Kilpauk. The address is a bit confusing because of the old and new numbers, but it’s New No 125. We do art stuff here. It’s a small place packed with materials. You can smell the paint and paper when you walk in. It’s not a polished gallery. It’s a place where things get made and sold. We’ve been in Kilpauk for quite some time. The street is usually busy with cars and people going to work. We have regulars who come in for specific things they need for their projects. We don't have a lot of space, so we use every shelf and corner we have. Sometimes it looks a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s a hands-on kind of business. We talk to people about what they are working on. It’s nice to see what people create. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory. The lighting isn't the best, but it gets the job done. We like the neighborhood. It has a good feel to it. Landons Road is easy enough to get to once you know where the number changed. We spend our days cutting, measuring, and helping customers. No big corporate rules here, we just do what needs doing to keep the shop running. It’s a steady life and we are happy to be here every day.
