Hymax Fashions Private Limited is actually run out of the Hiranandani Upscale complex in Egattur. Specifically, we are in the Pine Wood building, apartment 1101A. It’s right on the OMR, which is usually packed with traffic, so we see a lot of the city's growth from our windows. Being in Kancheepuram district gives us a bit of a different perspective than being right in the heart of Chennai. It’s a residential building, so it doesn't feel like a cold office at all. We have our desks set up and it’s a pretty quiet environment to get things done. We started this fashion business because we had some ideas about how clothes should be handled. It’s not a huge factory floor here; it’s more of the planning and management side of things. Sometimes the elevators are slow when we’re trying to get somewhere in a hurry, but that’s just life in a high-rise. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer coordinating with suppliers. People sometimes get surprised when they see we operate from an apartment, but it works for us. It keeps things simple and manageable. We don't have a lobby with a receptionist, just a doorbell and some people who really care about what they’re doing. It’s a practical way to run Hymax Fashions without all the extra overhead of a commercial building. We've been here for a while and the Egattur area has everything we need close by. It’s a decent place to work.
