If you’ve ever been to T. Nagar, you know how crowded it gets, especially around G.N. Chetty Road. Hotel Peninsula is right in the middle of all that. The zip code is 600017, and we've been here at number 51 for quite some time. It’s a busy street with cars and rickshaws constantly going by. Sometimes the noise doesn't really stop until late at night. We’ve got a staff that’s been around for years, just doing their jobs. We aren't trying to be one of those huge luxury spots you see in the city. We just provide rooms for people who are in Chennai for shopping or business. T. Nagar is famous for all the stores, so we get a lot of people who spend all day out and just come back here to sleep. The building has some age to it, and you might see a bit of wear here and there. We spend our mornings checking the water tanks and making sure the lobby stays tidy. It gets really hot in Chennai, so we're usually messing with the fans or the air units. People ask for directions to the nearby markets a lot. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. It’s a straightforward business.
