Ashiqa Palace Hotel

We are located at number 70 on Moore Street in Parrys, right behind the General Post Office. This part of Chennai is always crowded and noisy, but that is just how it is around here. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is old and we have kept it pretty much the same over the years. We don't have any of those fancy elevators or big lobbies you see in the new hotels. It is just a place to stay when you have work in the city. Most of our guests are people who come to visit the post office or have some business in the markets nearby. We have a few floors of rooms. They are simple with just a bed, a fan, and a small desk. Sometimes the street noise comes inside but most people don't mind it too much. My family helps me run the place and we take turns at the front desk. We don't have a big kitchen, just some tea and coffee if you ask for it. The area is full of life from early morning until late at night. You can walk to the station from here if you don't have too much luggage to carry. We know all the local shopkeepers on Moore Street. It is a very busy area with lots of trucks and people moving things around. We try to keep the rooms tidy for the next person. It is not a luxury stay by any means. It is just a practical choice for travelers.
