You can find us at 15, Kennet Lane, which is right in the heart of Egmore. The 600008 area is a busy part of the city, and Kennet Lane gets its fair share of that energy every day. Hotel Pandian has been part of this street for a long time now. It’s a narrow lane, and sometimes the traffic gets a bit backed up with bikes and autos, but that is just part of living and working in this neighborhood. We don’t try to hide the fact that we are in a crowded, noisy area. It’s the reality of being at number 15. The building itself has a lot of character, mostly because it’s been used so much by so many people over the years. We spend a lot of time cleaning the windows and making sure the front looks decent enough for whoever is passing by. There is no big corporate office telling us what to do; we just decide things as they come up. The fans hum in the background and the street noise never really stops, even late at night when you'd think things would finally get quiet. We’ve seen the city change a lot around us, but Kennet Lane stays much the same in its own way. We just keep the doors open and the rooms ready for whoever shows up. It is a straightforward way to run a place. No bells or whistles, just a solid building at a specific address.
