Horizon Apparels

Our place is over at M.I.G.-314 in the Mogappair Eri Scheme. Horizon Apparels is a small setup we’ve got going here. It’s more of a workshop than a big store. We spend most of our time at the machines or at the cutting table. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which is nice for getting work done. We started this because we knew how to put garments together. There’s no big sign outside, just a small one so people can find us. We take in orders and try to get them finished as they come. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just life here. We have a couple of sewing machines that have seen better days but they still run smooth. The room is usually full of thread and fabric pieces. We don't really have a big staff, just a few local people helping out. It’s a simple routine every day. We open up early, check what needs to be stitched, and get to it. Sometimes we have tea breaks and just sit outside for a bit to watch the traffic go by. We aren't looking to change much about how we work. It’s comfortable and it pays the bills. If you’re in Mogappair, you might have passed by us without even knowing. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stitching every single day until the light fades.
