Hind Leathers Overseas

We are Hind Leathers Overseas, and our place is at No. 15/9 on Narayana Chetty Street in Periamet. If you know this area, you know it’s the heart of the leather trade around here. The smell of leather is pretty much everywhere as soon as you turn onto the street. We’ve been working out of this location for a long time. Our building is a bit old, and the stairs are narrow, but it works for us. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of leather and some basic office furniture. We don't have any fancy decorations or air-conditioned waiting rooms. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the hides and making sure they are ready for wherever they need to go next. It’s hard work and it can be quite messy sometimes. We have a small group of people working here, and we all just pitch in with whatever needs doing. Sometimes the street gets blocked by lorries unloading, which can be a bit of a headache, but that’s just life in Periamet. We don't do any big marketing or anything like that. Most of our business comes from people who have known us for years in the trade. We just stick to what we know, which is leather. It’s a plain, simple way of doing things, and we don't feel the need to change it.
