Harmain Leather Exports

We are based out of Park Town on Wuthucattan Street. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with all the trade stuff going on nearby and the heavy traffic. At No. 50/2 B, you’ll find us surrounded by leather most of the time. The smell of it is quite strong, but it's something you just get used to after a couple of days. We handle a lot of exports, so there are always crates and boxes being moved around the floor. It’s a bit of a warehouse feel here rather than a shop. Not a place where you’d find fancy decorations or comfortable chairs. We have desks piled with shipping papers and samples of different hides. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the skins and making sure the orders are ready to go out on time. The street outside is narrow and can get blocked with trucks quite easily, which makes things difficult. We have to be quick with loading and unloading when the space opens up. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. It’s not always easy work, and it can get quite hot in the summers when the air doesn't move. We just keep the fans going and get through the piles of work. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how things work. It’s an honest way to make a living. The business just comes through word of mouth mostly.
