HABITRO DESIGN SPACES INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED

Our little office is over at 1C Chinnamettupalayam in the Kaladipet area. We go by Habitro Design Spaces India Private Limited, and mostly we just focus on making interiors look and feel right for the people living in them. It’s not some big, polished studio; it’s usually quite messy with fabric samples and color charts spread across the desks. We spend our days sketching out ideas and then trying to figure out how to actually build them. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just like the work of figuring out where a cupboard should go or what light works best in a small room. Kaladipet is a good place to be, and we’ve gotten to know the local rhythms well. Sometimes a client changes their mind halfway through, and we have to start over. That’s just part of the business, I guess. We try to be practical and don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It’s just about creating spaces that work. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, and our hands are often dusty by the end of the day. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we enjoy seeing a room come together. We aren't perfect, but we stay at it until the job is done.
