You can find Haaz Modern Organic Farming Private Limited over at 25/51 Unis Ali Sahib Street. It’s near Ellis Road and Mount Road in the middle of Chennai. This is a really crowded part of the city, so it’s always lively around here. We work out of this small space, trying to figure out how to do modern farming in a place that’s mostly concrete. It’s a bit of a challenge, but we enjoy it. Our team is small, just a few people who are tired of the usual corporate grind. We don’t wear ties or use a lot of jargon. We just talk about plants and how to grow them better using the space we have. The office on Unis Ali Sahib Street is where we plan everything. There are usually stacks of containers and bags of soil sitting around. It’s not the neatest place, but we know where everything is. Being so close to Mount Road means we are right in the thick of things. We spend a lot of time researching and trying out new ways to grow things without using chemicals. It’s a lot of trial and error. Some days things grow great, and other days they don't. We just take it as it comes. We aren't trying to change the world overnight, just trying to farm in a way that makes sense to us. It’s a lot of work, but we like being right here in the city heart.
