Royal Scarbs

You can find us at No. 6 Chakkarapani Road, on the 2nd Street in Narasinga Puram, Guindy. It’s a bit tucked away, and the streets are quite narrow around here. Royal Scarbs is a small place where we spend our time working with all sorts of colorful fabrics. The shop is usually filled with the sound of scissors cutting through cloth and the hum of a few sewing machines. Because we are in Guindy, it’s a very local feel, and we know almost everyone on our street. The building is older, and sometimes the roof leaks a little when we get those heavy rains, so we have to be quick to move the stock. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins. Instead, we have stacks of finished scarves piled up on wooden tables. It’s a bit dusty, and there is lint everywhere, but that’s just the nature of the work. We don't do any big promotions or online ads. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years or heard about us from a neighbor. We have a small staff, and we usually share some tea and snacks in the afternoon while we work. It’s a simple life, focused on making things one at a time. We open up early and close when the street lights come on. It’s just how we do things here in Narasinga Puram.
