Ps Apparels India

Our place, Ps Apparels India, is over at 15 Race Course Road in Guindy. Chennai is always humid, and being near the race course doesn't change that much for us. We spend most of our time inside with the sewing machines and rolls of fabric. It’s a lot of noise when everyone is working at once. We make all sorts of garments here. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and scraps of cloth that we have to sweep up at the end of the shift. We aren’t a big fancy brand you see on TV. We are just a local factory doing our work. The building isn't new, and the paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it stays cool enough with the fans. We have a small team of people who have been with us for years. We usually eat lunch together in the back room. Sometimes orders are late because of the rain or transport issues, but that’s just how it goes here. We don’t do any big marketing or advertising. Most people find us by word of mouth or because they saw the address in a list. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the boxes are packed before they go out on the trucks. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy every month. Being in Tamil Nadu, we see a lot of different people coming through for business. We just keep our heads down and work.
